Bento #042: "Nerimono" Fish Paste Feast

A little surprise in the fridge changed my cooking plan this morning.

🍱 Today's JK Bento Menu

  • Rice with Salted Kelp and Kinpira (Shio Konbu to Kinpira Gohan / ご飯 塩昆布・きんぴら乗せ)

  • Japanese Egg Roll (Tamagoyaki / 卵焼き)

  • Curry-flavored Chikuwa (Chikuwa no Curry Fumi / ちくわのカレー風味)

  • Stir-fried Kamaboko and Komatsuna (Kamaboko to Komatsuna no Itamemono / かまぼこと小松菜の炒め物)

  • Freeze-dried Miso Soup (Freeze-dry no Misoshiru / フリーズドライのみそ汁)

👨‍🍳 Dad's Comment

I defrosted the chikuwa from my Meal prep(Tsukuri Oki), but I unexpectedly found kamaboko that was almost expired in the fridge. I changed my plan to stir-fry the komatsuna with the kamaboko, making it a bento full of fish paste products. I served the leftover kamaboko for the family's breakfast.
